Talcum Powder
Chemical name: Talcum Powder
Molecular formula: 3MgO· 4SiO2· H2O
Properties: white, with greasy feel, and high thermal resistance and chemical stability, out of function to strong acid and alkali, only soluble in hot phosphoric acid. It has high lubricity, mechanical melting point and specific heat. low heat conductivity, electrical conductance and shrinkage.
Use: Talcum powder can be used in coating to improve gloss and staining property of paper; in coating industry, it can be used body filler; in ceramic industry, it can be used in place of clay to improve the transparency and strength of products; it can be filled in cable rubber and polypropylene plastic to improve processibility.
